All resused parts will be blasted and powder coated

In order to take the rear torsion bars out, the side skirts must be removed, which was a good thing in this case.

I decided to remove the engine and transmssion in order to have better access.

In the meantime the front goes back together. This way I got space for the parts which come out from the rear end.

Here is the transmission cleaned up and ready.

At this point I decided to remove all components around the engine for restoration.

It really needed it.

All different things can be found during the process, like this broken stud.

All these items were inspected and repaired as needed.

Got it all off, now everything can be cleaned.

Here is the Linkage after blasting and powder coating, with new bushings and the hardware replated or replaced.

Rear suspension parts and hardware in the restoration process

Rear suspension get installed, as well the hand brake parts.

The electrical panel is restored and installed.

The brake calipers where blasted and powder coated.

The valve covers are also powder coated.

Valve covers are back installed after valve crearance checked and adjusted as needed. Also all head studs were checked and OK.

The components around the engine can now be installed.

Cooling fan and shroud is installed.

The CIS is installed after all components were cleaned and repaired/restored.

Engine and transmission ready for installation.

Here is the engine back in the car.

Since the original exhaust was in very bad shape, I installed some good heat exchanger I still had.

I used an aftermarket Muffler one side in and out.

I made a custom piping to fit the new muffler.

Pipe and muffler finished and ready for installation.

Here installed, just need to add the heat shield for the Cat.
