Claudia's 1978 VW Super Beetle Convertible - Repair

That's how the engine compartment looked like before, with some parts already removed.

Here it is. The engine removed, ready to clean up and remove all unnacessary junk!

Here is the engine ready to cean and to receive the cleaned and new painted sheet metall.

It's amazing how much some degreaser, some elbow grease and a little bit of fresh paint can do.
Of cource, the new Webers look good on that 1600.
The car got also a new clutch, and new seals for the gear box shaft and the crank shaft.
The Engine work was not the only thing this Bug needed. I had to replace the right floor pan, because the battery almost fall throught the floor, and on the left side the rocker pannel and some additional sheet metal pieces had to be welded in, as it show on this photo.
