My Motorsport Activities In Germany

Autoslalom (Autocross)

1975 and 1976 Autoslalom (Autocross)

With my Simca Rally II

This little French Car was a very good slalom car. It was not only once that I did the faster times than Porsche Carreras and Renault Alpine. Here are the spec's as far I can remember:
Rear Enginge
Rear wheel drive
4 cylinder, 1.3 L, 84HP
4 doors
4 speed
4 disc breaks
(that was 1976)
Wheels:
Steel wheels 4.5 X 13
Tires 145/ HR13

The car was original equiped with Michelin Formula France (FF) tires which had a special soft compound and were very good tires for slalom.
I remember the first set I had to replace with 1,100 km on it, to make sure I could use the tires for the rest of the year for Autoslalom. I had a set of wheel with normal HR tires for the street. Yes I had to have HR tires, because that thing made almost 190km/h on the Autobahn!!

Here my best results from 1976, I had with this car in the 1300ccm Class:
1st Place 5
2nd Place 11
3rd Place 7
Simca Trophy 3
2nd FTD 1

The average number of cars in this class was 10 cars, but I remember one event with over 40 cars, and 35 were Simca Rally II.
I finished 5th
